Tonight Tavish Scott is at the special leaders’ hustings organised by the Federation of Small Businesses. Later on he is on Newsnight Scotland in the first of their leaders’ interviews. We have our next Party Election Broadcast slot on Monday 18^th April at 18.25 on STV and 18.55 on BBC1.

Cut tax for those who need it
Thousands of Scots on low and middle incomes are now benefiting from a cut in income tax of £200 thanks to the efforts of Liberal Democrats in the UK Government.

Pension increase guaranteed
So many pensioners find it difficult to make ends meet with rising heating and food prices. That’s why the Liberal Democrats in the UK Government have delivered a guaranteed decent increase in the state pension every year – up £4.50 a week this year.

No child detention
For ten years the children of families looking for refuge in Scotland were detained for months on end at special jail at Dungavel in Lanarkshire. But thanks to the efforts of Liberal Democrats in the UK Government this unacceptable practice has been stopped.
