Gordon Bain
Irvine West Campaigner

Gordon wants to see the regeneration of Irvine town centre to help the local businesses within this area. He believes that the council should engage more with community groups and residents to ensure new developments have the support of local residents. He also believes that more has to be done to build a sense of commuinty spirit and that our community centres play a key role in doing this.
Gordon was born in 1977 and has lived and worked within North Ayrshire for the past 34 years. He grew up in Ardrossan and has family and friends living throughout the three towns. Gordon now lives in Irvine with his partner and young family.
Gordon worked for a computer manufacturing company based in Stevenston before returning to further education to study software development. Since graduating Gordon has worked as an IT professional and recently established a website design company based here in Ayrshire.
In his spare time Gordon enjoys hill walking and going out for something to eat at local restaurants with family and friends.

However more and more questions are being raised about the success that is being delivered, some of the ...Street Lights in Dunvagen / Carron Place

A grass square that sits off the main street had no working street lights leaving the area in complete darkness from late afternoon onwards. The campaign to get these lights repaired were ...
